Privacy Policy for Bharat Brief

This Privacy Policy describes how Leaptrix Solutions ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information across our network of 22 regional news applications (the "Bharat Brief Network").

1. Information We Collect

We collect minimal information to provide our news aggregation service:

Device Identifiers: IP address and Advertising IDs (e.g., Google Advertising ID).
Push Tokens: Unique identifiers used to deliver news alerts via OneSignal.
Usage Data: News categories viewed and app interaction logs.
Location: Approximate location (city-level) derived from IP for regional news relevance.

2. Purpose of Collection (Purpose Limitation)

In accordance with the India DPDP Act, we process data only for specified, lawful purposes:

To deliver 15-minute regional news updates tailored to your language.
To serve relevant advertisements through AdMob.
To analyze app performance and improve the "Thin Client" aggregation logic.

3. Third-Party Partners & SDKs

We partner with the following entities who may collect data according to their own policies:

Google AdMob: Used for advertising. AdMob may collect Advertising IDs and usage data. Google Privacy Policy

OneSignal: Used for push notifications. OneSignal collects device tokens to send alerts. OneSignal Privacy Policy

4. Affiliate Marketing Disclosure

Bharat Brief uses affiliate links from partners like Amazon and Flipkart. If you click a "Deal" and make a purchase, we may receive a commission. This does not affect the price you pay or our editorial neutrality.

5. Consent Management

We use a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP). Users can manage, grant, or withdraw consent for data processing and personalized advertising at any time through the app's settings menu.

6. Data Deletion & Erasure

You have the "Right to Erasure." To request the deletion of your notification token or diagnostic data, please email connect@leaptrix.com. Requests are processed within 72 hours.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable security safeguards, including HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data transfers between our servers (hosted on Linode/Contabo) and your device.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our applications are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. We use AdMob "Child-Directed" flags where appropriate.

9. External Content (WebView)

Our apps use WebView to show original news articles. We do not control the privacy practices of external news publishers or YouTube; users should review those third-party policies independently.
